THE HISTORY OF ENTRE LIMONES

That’s how it all started…

Entre Limones was born from simplicity and from what has never been easy. The idea behind it is a place where you can sit down and enjoy company and good food. IN 2011 we found a small place where inspiration, technique and product were the main focus. We didn’t need much more.

Talking about a menu sounds rigid, serious, distant. What this bistro offers are fresh, light, citrus dishes with a clear idea of sharing. It is easy to see a dish being passed to another table and be tempted to order it. But simplicity does not mean boredom, Entre Limones dishes always have a creative factor in the form of citrus, spicy, crunchy or even touches that take us to other countries. When the dish arrives at the table it does so quickly, with a clear presentation where the product is the star.

The closeness and kindness of the staff is the perfect complement to the food, which does honour to Alfredo. Through his dishes, he manages to convey to his diners all his experience and passion for his profession, that of a great chef.

OUR CHEF

Alfredo Medina

“Marbellero” and chef. These words could briefly describe the chef and owner of this establishment. But it goes much further.

Like every great chef, he was always restless in the kitchen and gastronomy. In fact, his first mentor in this world was his mother, Mercedes. Although his closeness to the stove was always latent, he did not turn his passion into a profession until he was 27, thus beginning his career as a professional chef. First it was with Ignacio Muguruza, from the Mar de Alborán Restaurant, a true master when it comes to traditional Basque cuisine. He continued his career under the guidance of Ramón Freixa at the Racó d’en Freixa (Barcelona) and later as head chef at Mesana (Marbella). Along with this impressive journey he has worked as a chef at large hotels on the Costa del Sol such as Kempinski, Guadalpín Marbella and Finca Cortesín, in the latter as the right-hand man of chef Schilo Van Coevorden. If we have already gone through an enviable career, we must mention some of the jobs and internships he has held in prestigious hotels and restaurants in cities such as New York, Beijing and Brussels.

His dense and fruitful career has made Alfredo the person we know today, a man who respects the product, who exudes passion and spreads tranquility. His expression is his cooking.
